The purpose of the new Standards of Excellence is to define what it means to be a "great" United Way and provide guidance for your United Way and our system to become more effective in creating impact and improving lives in your community. The Self-Assessment booklet details the goals and process of a diagnostic tool to measure the local perception of the performance of your United Way relative to the 34 standards outlined in the Standards of Excellence. Size: Seven booklets range from 10 to 48 pages, and are 6" high by 8.5" wide. Features: * The new Standards of Excellence were developed by and for United Way leaders to help their organizations - and our system - to be more successful in achieving the community mission. * The purpose of the Standards is four-fold: o To define how to be a "great" United Way, pursuing and achieving community impact o To establish aspirational benchmarks for individual United Way and system performance o To provide clear definitions and a common language to describe United Way's business today o To provide a vehicle to help enhance stakeholder understanding of the "new" United Way * Includes Community Engagement and Vision, Impact Strategies, Resources and Results, Relationship Building and Brand Management, Organizational Leadership and Governance, and Operations. * Also now includes a hard copy of the complete Standards of Excellence Self Assessment.
